That’s why I support the 2016 Paid Family Leave bill because it includes funding that will allow businesses like mine to be able to offer paid time off. 4th Tier Tax

Budget Surplus
Some say that Minnesota’s $1.9 billion surplus is proof that we’re being taxed too much. But with our state’s long-neglected and crumbling infrastructure, it seems to me that having a surplus means we can finally use revenues to invest in maintaining and updating our roads, bridges, water and sewer systems, our schools and more. read more
Caucuses vs. Primaries
In these few days since the 2016 Minnesota State Caucuses some of my excited Bernie Sanders supporting facebook friends have called the caucus system corrupt and that Minnesota should switch to a primary system. Their wishes to keep politics in the hands of the people and to get rid of the caucus are counter to each other. In caucus states there is much more participation by the people at the most local level. read more
